Aramis by ihni
Aramis from BBC's Musketeers, played by Santiago Cabrera.

I bought a couple of new pencils recently, and used them for this drawing. In stead of using just the one pencil, I used one white one, two grey ones and a black one - and look at the difference it makes! Well, it FEELS like a huge difference, at least. I LIKE this one (but got lazy in the end, as per usual ... :p). I can't believe it's taken me this long to try this out.

Some white details added last in gel pen, by the way.

Oh, and yeah. The Musketeers. Still liking that, yeah.

... and a little bit of pencils.

I'm still learning how markers work, and I'm not disliking them! But I have discovered that I have to buy new ones, since the ones from 0,5 to 5 are almost dead now ... or, you know, dry. I wanted a slightly lighter background on this, but alas, it was not to be.

I could have spent more time on the background. I could have spent more time on the details. I could have sharpened the pencils more. But eh, this was never about perfection. I saw the original screenshot and squealed in happiness, because a) look at those silhouettes and b) look at those DETAILS in the silhouettes (the only thing that makes a silhouette more awesome is to add some details that makes the silhouette less 2D) and c) all four of them in one image, mmmm <3

It didn't scan as well as I wanted it to; in real life, I actually like it. I'm gonna put it on a wall or something, where I can see it (at least for a while).

Mmm, musketeers. Mmm, pretty costumes. Mmm, swordfights.
Porthos by ihni
I'm kinda into BBC's The Musketeers right now. How can I NOT, really? The costumes are gorgeous, the men aren't bad either, the women are wonderful, there are horses and swordfights and adventures, and BROTHERHOOD! Also, the fanfic potential for all this is close to alarming. So yeah, can you blame me for watching and loving this show? The answer to that question is no.

This here is Porthos, played by Howard Charles. He's awesome, too.

I needed something to draw that I could bring to work, that wouldn't take much effort, and this was it. Black ballpoint pen on paper. I find ballpoint pens very relaxing in a way (until they start to leak and leave black dots all over the drawing ...), because What's Done Is Done, you know? No room for mistakes here. And a lot of the work is just to fill in the white spaces, so yeah ... relaxing.

I found the drawing lacking when I'd finished Porthos, so I googled antique picture frames and ... well, added a frame. Remind me not to do that again, please? Because eurgh, too boring and too much work. I got sick of it as soon as I'd started.

Aaaanyway, yeah. Watch The Musketeers, and you'll see what I'm on about.
Silhouettes by ihni
A co-worker saw a photo in a wallpaper book, and liked it. So I figured I'd paint it for him for Christmas. This is that photo. I don't know who took the original photo, nor do I know where it is from (the one I saw was printed, probably around 3x4 cm big ...). But I hope my friend is happy with it. :)

Acrylics on canvas.
Everything in me by ihni
Everything in me
A series of portraits in mixed media, that I made for a thing. You know, a thing. They wanted no more than three pieces, with the same style or theme. I'm really bad at sticking with one style or theme, so I decided to treat the three as parts of a whole. And also I wanted to learn how to paint galaxies, kind of. So this happened.

Watercolours, markers, ink, acrylics, pencils and a white gel pen. A4 size.

For larger images, see my tumblr:…

Edit: Also, sorry I didn't get any better pictures. I kinda took a picture of them after I had framed them, because I forgot to scan them beforehand.

I'm offering up two commissions in this year's charity auction (organized by the Sterek Campaign, and all money goes to Wolf Haven International).

It doesn't even have to be fandom related! As long as I have a good photo reference, most things are accepted. :) And I can use most mediums ... and I'll try my hands on anything.

You can bid on me here. (…)

(You should also totally check out :iconreborn-gp: because she's offering a commission too; you can bid on her here!)

Come on, people! I want to draw, and the wolves need money! :D

Thanks! Does it has to be something made especially for this project, or is anything okay?
