and felt a sudden and unexpected, but very urgent need to make myself a plushie. I rationalised it and figured that I could make it for a friend for Christmas, but now once it's done, I'm not sure I can part with it. Him.
Anyway, the pattern provided was awesome, I only changed the legs (since I watched the movie again and ... well, wanted them like this in stead).
He's made out of wool (couldn't find any fleece) which was thick and difficult to sew in. Especially by hand, which was how I did it. Him. The only thing I made with a sewing machine was the wings. Because I can't sew straight. Which is the only reason why wool was good, because you can't tell that I really can't sew ...
Aaaanyway, his eyes are made from a greenish fabric, and the scales are made from some kind of more glossy black fabric. And they're glued onto him. With that ... paper-y/glue-ish thing that you put between the ... OH WHATEVER, I know what I mean!
Yeah. This is it. I haven't been feeling very artistic lately, but at least I have been doing something, even if there's basically no creativity at all involved. It clears my head. And it (HE) turned out pretty nice. I like him.
Edit: At first, he was called Murdock, but lately I've taken to calling him Vincent so ... I think his name is Vincent. Vincent Murdock.
